Yes. We use Tetra Pak® cartons and they are recyclable. KOATJI is bottled in shelf-stable, aseptic, cartons that are made from 70% renewable resources. Aseptic containers (also commonly labeled with "Tetra Pak") can be placed in your curbside recycling bins, and recycled in most US households. Make sure to empty your carton and replace the cap.

We don’t recommend freezing the milk unless you use it in clarification as in our Koatji Old Fashioned recipe.

KOATJI is a shelf-stable plant milk. KOATJI is UHT-treated and packaged aseptically, which allows for a 6 months shelf life and no need for refrigeration. Once the product is open, it should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 7 days.

No. We do not add any sugar or sweeteners to our KOATJI milk. That’s why they are not on the ingredient list. The natural sugar appears as the enzymes break down the starches in our oats and koji rice which creates a natural sweetness and deep umami. It’s similar to how the human body breaks down starches into sugar during digestion. FDA has changed the law so that naturally occurring sugar now has to be labeled as added. We source all of our ingredients from Certified Organic suppliers that comply with the highest quality standards. Our koji rice and oats are sourced from trusted suppliers who work with farmers in Japan, and across North America and Europe.

KOATJI offers to purchase our barista product as a one time purchase, or on a subscription basis. First, make sure that we can ship to your location. We cover all of California. If you sign up to the subscription service, you can choose to receive the product once a week, every second week or once a month. We offer a 9% discount on sign up for single subscription order (6 units) and 18% for a double subscription (12 units).

Setting up our subscription, we accept all major credit cards. For one time purchase, we also accept electronic payments like Apple Pay, Google Pay.

Our KOATJI milk comes in 6-packs, so the minimum order is 6 units of our 32 oz milk cartons. You can choose shipping of 6, 12 or more.

KOATJI offers shipping rates of $7.5 for all orders. We deliver to all of California. Shipping is free on all our subscriptions. Please allow 2-7 days for your order to be delivered. Also, you may want to use the store locator to find our locations.

Please be aware that we depend on the tracking information provided to our customers once a package departs from our facility. If you encounter any concerns about your delivery while the tracking indicates that your package is in transit, kindly reach out to the shipping carrier for more information. In the unfortunate circumstance where your tracking information indicates that your order has been delivered, but you have not received it, please contact order@koatji.com for further assistance. It's important to note that we are not obligated to replace missing products, as the resolution will be determined at the discretion of our customer support team based on each individual case.

We ship once a week. Once you have placed your order, allow us 2-7 days for delivery.

We cover all of California on the West Coast and the following Northeastern States: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA. We also we cover the following Mid Western States: IL, IA, MN, WI. Check our zip code lookup at the shop checkout to confirm if we cover your location.
